General Treatment

General treatment of the feet is a core part of our podiatry practice - we believe wholeheartedly that prevention is better than the cure.

Your feet are under stress all day; walking, running and being squashed into tight fitting shoes can cause a myriad of foot issues.

This can lead to conditions such as:

- Corns
- Callouses
- Ingrown toenails
- Heel cracks
- Elongated toenails
- Plantar Warts
- Fungal Nail infection

These are often painful and recurring conditions that can be easily and painlessly treated during a general treatment consult. With modern equipment and hygienically sterilised instruments, your safety and effective treatment is our primary concern. General treatments when performed regularly provide a means of maintenance of the feet, preventing pain and further complications.

Diabetes Foot Checks

Diabetes is a serious disease that can develop from lack of insulin production in the body, or from the inability of the body's insulin to perform its normal everyday functions.

Many complications can be associated with diabetes. Diabetes disrupts the vascular system, affecting many areas of the body such as the eyes, kidneys, legs, and the feet. People with diabetes should pay special attention to their feet as diabetes affects the feet significantly. People with diabetes can develop neuropathic and vascular ulcers in the feet if the feet are neglected. These ulcers are preventable with proper regular foot checks and the right treatment .
