Most Common area I treat as a Chiropractor

As a Chiropractor working in Sydney’s CBD, there are certain conditions that re-occur more frequently than others. I would say majority of my patients are office workers and apparently sitting in front of a computer for prolonged periods causes issues. Who would’ve thought?

Lower back pain is the top of the list. If you ask me why, here are my 3 thoughts.

  1. You are sitting for way too long. I encourage people to get up off their chair every 45 minutes to 1 hour. Even if it means literally standing up from your chair. You dont need to walk anywhere. It’s about breaking patterns.

  2. Our bodies are getting weaker. When we sit for long periods of time, certain muscles are not being used and over time, this can become a chronic issue. For lower back health, it is so important to maintain strength in your lower limb, hips and pelvis.

  3. Lower back pain is inherently common. In Australia, around 1 in 6 people report chronic lower back pain and is one of the leading causes of Disability in Australia. That is an alarming amount of people who are suffering from lower back pain.

What do I do to help this?

First thing for me is finding the cause of your problem. If you cant find the cause, symptoms will always appear again. Second is Spinal Decompression.
